Pakistan Stock Exchange Announces Quarterly Review of Futures Eligible Securities

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has released its quarterly review of securities eligible for trading in the Deliverable Futures Contract (DFC) market, as of October 24, 2025. This review, conducted in compliance with the amended eligibility criteria approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, outlines changes in the list of eligible securities based on data from the past six months ending September 30, 2025.

The review introduces new securities to the DFC market, including Kohat Cement Company Limited (KOHC), National Foods Limited (NATF), and JS Momentum Factor Exchange Traded (JSMFETF). These additions reflect the evolving dynamics of the market and the adherence to the necessary quantitative parameters set forth in the eligibility criteria.

Conversely, the review also indicates outgoing securities, with Octopus Digital Limited (OCTOPUS) and Yousaf Weaving Mills Limited (YOUW) being part of the list only for a single 90-day contract, specifically DFC-JAN-2026. The existing contracts, namely DFC-NOV-2025 and DFC-DEC-2025, will continue to be available for trading until their respective expiry dates.

Furthermore, the review highlights several securities that will remain eligible due to applicable relaxation rules. These include Agritech Limited (AGP), Avanceon Limited (AVN), and Crescent Steel & Allied Products Limited (CSAP), among others. Should these securities fail to meet the quantitative parameters in future reviews, they will be excluded from the list.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the final list of securities eligible for trading in the DFC market comprises companies across various sectors. This comprehensive list includes prominent names such as Aisha Steel Mills Limited (ASL), Attock Refinery Limited (ATRL), and Bank Alfalah Limited (BAFL). The designated market category reflects the diverse range of industries represented in the DFC market.

The PSX will notify relevant trading schedules for these securities in due course, ensuring market participants are informed of any changes in a timely manner.
