Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has concluded its rebalancing of the Alfalah Consumer Index (ACI) as of September 30, 2026, with the revised constituent weights set to take effect from October 07, 2026. The rebalancing, executed according to the index rules available on the PSX website, reflects adjustments in the weights of numerous companies within the index.
According to the latest update, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Millat Tractors Limited, and Lucky Cement Limited each hold a weight of 10.00% in the ACI, marking them as the top constituents. Fauji Cement Company Limited follows with a weight of 8.96%, while Maple Leaf Cement Factory Limited and D.G. Khan Cement Company Limited have weights of 8.69% and 8.34% respectively.
Further down the index, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited is assigned a weight of 7.15%, and Interloop Limited holds a weight of 5.39%. The Searle Company Limited and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited carry weights of 4.65% and 4.61%, respectively. Other notable constituents include Nishat Mills Limited at 4.16%, GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan Limited and National Foods Limited both at 3.94%, and International Steels Limited at 2.44%.
The rebalancing process also reflects changes in the weights of Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited at 2.19%, Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited at 1.62%, and Fauji Foods Limited at 1.47%. Aisha Steel Mills Limited, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, and Crescent Steel & Allied Products Limited hold weights of 1.09%, 0.75%, and 0.63%, respectively.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these adjustments are part of a standard rebalancing exercise to ensure the index accurately represents the market dynamics within the designated market category.
The restructuring of the ACI is a routine measure undertaken by the Pakistan Stock Exchange to maintain the index's relevance and to provide a reflective view of the consumer sector's performance. The changes will be officially implemented starting on Wednesday, October 07, 2026.
