karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has announced a rebalancing of its Mahaana Islamic Index (MII30), effective from October 31, 2025, following an evaluation based on data as of October 15, 2025. This adjustment is in line with the established index rules accessible on the PSX website.
The rebalancing of the MII30 Index involves updated weights for its constituent companies, reflecting shifts in market dynamics and compliance with index criteria. Engro Holdings Limited emerges as the leading constituent with a weight of 9.64%, followed closely by Mari Energies Limited and Lucky Cement Limited with weights of 8.32% and 8.15%, respectively.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the adjustments also see Meezan Bank Limited and The Hub Power Company Limited featuring prominently with weights of 7.66% and 7.58%, respectively. Meanwhile, Oil & Gas Development Company Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited hold weights of 7.50% and 6.11%, respectively, indicating their significant presence within the index.
The complete list of updated weights includes a diverse array of companies, such as Engro Fertilizers Limited at 6.09%, Systems Limited at 5.49%, and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited at 4.32%. Lower down the spectrum, companies like Tariq Glass Industries Limited and Interloop Limited hold weights of 0.86% and 0.91%, respectively.
This rebalancing exercise is part of PSX's ongoing commitment to ensuring that the MII30 Index accurately reflects the market's current state, providing investors with a reliable benchmark for performance assessment.
