Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has issued a reminder to all listed companies about the mandatory participation in two upcoming webinars focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. The first webinar, scheduled for April 16, 2024, will cover the newly launched PSX Primer on ESG and Reporting Guidance. The second, set for April 18, 2024, will introduce the ESG Contribution Tool.

On April 16, PSX will launch the PSX Primer on ESG, aimed at educating listed companies about ESG risks and opportunities. The accompanying webinar will provide guidance on producing sustainability reports and utilizing ESG data. Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Chairperson of PSX, will deliver the keynote address, with additional insights on ESG Reporting Standards from a representative of PWC.

Two days later, on April 18, PSX in collaboration with Refinitiv, a London Stock Exchange Group company, will host a webinar on the ESG Contribution Tool. This tool is designed to assist companies in reporting timely ESG data to investors and improving visibility on international ESG platforms. The session will feature a keynote address by Mr. Akif Saeed, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and Dr. Shamshad Akhtar.

Attendance at both webinars is compulsory for representatives from listed companies, particularly those involved in sustainability, ESG, and related fields. Registration links have been provided in the PSX notices, and attendees must register in advance to participate in the sessions.
