Karachi, According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the market demonstrated varied performance across its indices with notable trading volume on May 13, 2024. The KSE-100 Index closed at 73,799.11 points, a rise from the previous session, marking an increase of 0.98 percent. Total traded volume for the day was 721,597,885 shares with a traded value of PKR 25,649,329,783.
The market showcased a mix of advances and declines among its listed companies. Out of 523 listed companies, 241 advanced, 120 declined, and 26 remained unchanged. The market capitalization stood at PKR 9,958,903,157,576.
In terms of debt securities, the exchange had 13 publicly issued and 22 privately placed listed debt securities, with total issue sizes of PKR 60 billion and PKR 502.59 billion, respectively. Additionally, there are 9 listed open-end mutual funds.
The performance of other indices also varied. The KSE-30 Index closed at 23,623.68 points, up by 0.84 percent. The Oil & Gas sector index (OGTi) showed a significant gain, ending at 17,515.00 points, an increase of 2.42 percent. Meanwhile, the JS Mutual Fund Index (JSMFI) experienced the highest increase among all indices at 1.57 percent, closing at 20,083.13 points.
