Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced mixed movements in its major indices on April 25, 2024. In contrast, some indices showed marginal gains. The KSE All-Shares Index increased slightly by 2.13 points, essentially remaining flat. The Oil & Gas Trading Index (OGTi) saw a notable increase of 74.49 points or 0.44%, closing at 17,031.06. Additionally, the PSX KMI All-Shares Index rose by 42.92 points or 0.13%, ending at 33,699.44.
The day's trading volume on the main board was recorded at 798,527,177 shares, with a traded value of PKR 27,542,060,653. The market's overall sentiment was mixed, with 173 advancers and 191 decliners, while 25 stocks remained unchanged out of 389 listed companies.
In terms of sector performance, the market witnessed notable movements. Hallmark Company Limited saw a significant price increase, closing at 1,072.52, up by 74.31 points. On the downside, Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited experienced a steep decline, dropping by 372.99 points to close at 20,255.00.
