Pakistan Stock Exchange Sets July 2024 Trading and Settlement Dates for Deliverable Futures Contracts

Karachi, The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has officially released the trading and settlement schedule for Deliverable Futures Contracts (DFC) for July 2024. The announcement also includes a list of securities eligible for trading, marking key changes and additions to the DFC market.

The DFC trading period for July 2024 will begin on April 29, 2024, a Monday, and conclude on July 26, 2024, a Friday, with the settlement date scheduled for July 30, 2024, a Tuesday. PSX has reserved the right to modify these dates if necessary and noted that any adjustments or extensions in contract periods will be communicated accordingly.

Significant updates include the addition of new securities eligible for trading. Newly included companies for the July session are Century Paper and Board Mills Limited, Frieslandcampina Engro Pakistan Limited, Ghani Glass Limited, Ferozsons Laboratories Limited, and Yousaf Weaving Mills Limited. These additions reflect the dynamic nature of the DFC market and provide investors with new opportunities for trading.

Concurrently, PSX outlined that certain securities would not be part of the eligible list post-July 2024. These include Attock Petroleum Limited, Bank Makramah Limited, Descon Oxychem Limited, Flying Cement Company Limited, Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited, Kohat Cement Company Limited, and Saif Power Limited. Additionally, transactions for specific securities like Bank Alfalah Limited and Engro Corporation among others will not be eligible for benefits due to book closure dates during the trading period.
