Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced adjustments to the trading and settlement schedules for Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) affecting JS Momentum Factor Exchange Traded Fund (JSMFETF) and Shell Pakistan Limited (SHEL). The changes, necessitated by the book closure dates of the mentioned companies, involve several contracts set for August, September, and October 2024.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this revision impacts the DFC schedules originally notified from May through August of the same year. For JSMFETF, the altered schedules on a cum-benefit basis see the contracts starting and concluding on the same dates across August, September, and October, with settlements due two days post-closure. The last trading day for the JSMFETF-AUGB contract is adjusted to August 26, 2024, moved forward from the initially planned August 30, 2024.
Shell Pakistan Limited’s (SHEL) trading schedules have also been revised, with no price adjustment for the affected contracts. The schedule change for SHEL-AUG aligns the last trading day to August 26, 2024, previously scheduled for August 30, 2024, following the company’s announcement.
The adjustments further extend to contracts without the entitlement of benefits, specifically the SEPC and OCTC contracts, which are scheduled to start in late August and close by the end of September and October, respectively. Settlements for these contracts are slated to occur shortly after their respective closing dates. These changes are designed to facilitate trading during the rollover period, which spans three trading days from August 22 to 26, 2024.
