Karachi: Pakistan Synthetics Limited has disclosed a series of transactions executed by its Executive Director, Yakoob Haji Karim, reflecting an increase in his shareholding in the company. The transactions, dated December 23 and December 26, 2025, were conducted under the Pakistan Stock Exchange Regulation 5.5.4, requiring disclosure of interest by relevant persons holding company shares.
According to the disclosure, Yakoob Haji Karim executed two separate purchases of company shares on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. The initial transaction, dated December 23, involved the acquisition of 62,842 shares. This was followed by an additional purchase of 1,500 shares on December 26. The cumulative effect of these transactions brings Mr. Karim’s total shareholding to 69.8832218016% of the company’s shares. The cumulative percentage of these transactions reflects a very large move.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these transactions were carried out in the ready market and were recorded in the Central Depository Company (CDC) format. The purchases have been appropriately documented and will be presented by the Company Secretary at the upcoming Board of Directors meeting.
The company emphasized compliance with regulations, noting that the holding period for these transactions exceeds six months. Additionally, the company assured stakeholders that it has updated the requisite details in the UIN Management System, as stipulated by regulatory requirements.
