Pakistan’s Securities Regulator Receives Application for Filing Extension

Karachi: An application has been submitted to the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) seeking a 30-day extension for the filing of financial statements for the first quarter ending March 31, 2026. The request, dated April 16, 2026, was made under Section 237 of the Companies Act, 2017.

According to the application, the extension aims to provide the necessary time to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements before submission. The applicant has committed to submitting a copy of the SECP’s approval to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) within 48 hours of receiving it. The notification will also be communicated to the Trading Right Entitlement (TRE) Certificate Holders of the Exchange.
