Panther Tyres Reports Robust Financial Growth in 2024

Lahore: Panther Tyres Limited, a key player in the automotive industry, has demonstrated significant financial growth for the year ended June 30, 2024. According to the financial statement released by the company, Panther Tyres achieved a net revenue of 29.52 billion rupees for 2024, marking a substantial increase from the 21.36 billion rupees recorded in 2023.

The gross profit for the company saw a robust rise, reaching 4.30 billion rupees up from 3.10 billion rupees in the previous year, evidencing effective cost management despite the increase in cost of sales which totaled 25.22 billion rupees. Selling and distribution expenses also escalated to 1.39 billion rupees compared to last year's 931.70 million rupees.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), administrative expenses rose slightly to 392.04 million rupees. However, the company's profitability showed strong momentum with the profit from operations soaring to 2.38 billion rupees, an increase from 1.69 billion rupees in 2023. After accounting for finance costs of 1.49 billion rupees and taxation of 75.22 million rupees, the net profit after taxation stood at 465.78 million rupees.

Moreover, Panther Tyres reported an earnings per share of 2.77 rupees, an improvement over the 2.58 rupees reported in the previous year. This performance is part of a broader trend observed in the automotive parts industry, reflecting a resilience that counters the economic challenges faced globally.

In addition to these operating results, the company's statement highlighted a total other comprehensive income of 640.33 million rupees, primarily from a revaluation surplus on property, plant, and equipment. The total comprehensive income for the year significantly improved, totaling 1.10 billion rupees.
