Paramount Spinning Mills Reports Robust Turnaround in First Quarter Results

Lahore: Paramount Spinning Mills Limited, a key player in the textile industry, has announced a substantial improvement in its financial performance for the first quarter ended September 30, 2024. The Lahore-based company turned a significant profit, reporting a net gain of PKR 212.71 million, a stark contrast to the loss of PKR 664.75 million during the same period in 2023.

The financial statement released to the Pakistan Stock Exchange highlighted a significant reduction in administrative expenses, which dropped from PKR 804.14 million in 2023 to PKR 296.39 million in 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this reduction played a critical role in the company's improved profitability. Additionally, the company managed to slash its finance costs from PKR 34.16 million in the previous year to just PKR 1.07 million.

This remarkable turnaround follows a year characterized by strategic adjustments and operational optimizations which appear to have begun yielding dividends. Other income also saw an uptick, contributing PKR 219.23 million to the total income, compared to the negative figure of PKR 904.14 million reported last year.

The report further detailed that no dividends, bonus shares, or rights shares would be distributed, underscoring the company’s focus on stabilizing its financial footing and investing in future growth.

Paramount Spinning Mills' latest results not only reflect a substantial recovery but also provide a positive outlook for the company as it continues to navigate the challenges of the global textile market.
