Pervez Ahmed Consultancy Services Reports a Profit of 1.16 Million in Fiscal Year 2024

Lahore: In a remarkable turnaround from its previous financial year, Pervez Ahmed Consultancy Services Ltd. reported a profit of 1.16 million rupees for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, rebounding from a loss of 2.60 million rupees the prior year. The company attributes the improvement primarily to gains in share profits from its associate entities.

During the year, the company experienced a notable shift in financials, reflecting an operating revenue of 600,000 rupees compared to a significant loss in operating expenses which totaled 2.07 million rupees. However, the sharp increase in share of profit from an associate, amounting to 3.15 million rupees, played a crucial role in moving the bottom line into the green.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Pervez Ahmed Consultancy Services has been actively managing its portfolio and strategic investments to steer back towards profitability. This fiscal discipline has been critical in overcoming the adverse impacts noted in the previous financial cycles.

The company, listed under the financial services category in the PSX, has seen its earning per share rise to 0.006 rupees. The balance sheet details reveal no dividend declaration this year, aligning with the company’s strategy to consolidate financial gains and support operational activities amid ongoing economic challenges.

Despite the positive profit after taxation, the company’s financial position remains delicate with accumulated losses of 1,630.25 million rupees and current liabilities exceeding current assets by 644.55 million rupees. These factors cast some doubt on the firm’s ability to continue as a going concern without strategic financial restructuring or external capital infusion.

In terms of corporate governance, the audit report highlighted adherence to regulatory standards and ongoing efforts to enhance corporate compliance and internal control systems, reflecting a mature approach to managing corporate affairs and shareholder interests.

This fiscal recovery poses a pivotal moment for Pervez Ahmed Consultancy Services as it seeks to maintain this trajectory and implement robust measures for sustainable growth.
