Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) is set to temporarily suspend its Karachi Internet Trading System (KITS) to facilitate an upgrade that will introduce the Bills and Bonds (BandB) market on the platform, exclusively via the desktop/laptop version initially. The scheduled downtime will commence at 8:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024, and conclude at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the upgrade is aimed at enhancing the trading capabilities and services offered by PSX. During the upgrade period, KITS services will be unavailable, impacting traders' ability to execute transactions online.

To minimize disruptions, PSX has advised all Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC) holders and brokers to complete their Off-Hour Orders (OHO) and back-office synchronizations before the downtime begins at 08:00 PM on Friday. This preparation will ensure that market participants can manage their trading activities smoothly and maintain continuity in their operations.
