Quetta Textile Mills Limited Names New Chief Executive Officer

Karachi: Quetta Textile Mills Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Asim Khalid as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 23, 2026. The decision was formalized at the Board of Directors meeting held on the same date, marking the commencement of Mr. Khalid’s three-year tenure at the helm of the textile manufacturing firm.

The Board of Directors convened in accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act, 2017, and the Articles of Association of the Company. During this meeting, it was resolved that Mr. Tariq Iqbal’s tenure as Chief Executive had concluded. Consequently, Mr. Asim Khalid has been appointed to the position, effective immediately.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the appointment of Mr. Khalid is subject to compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. The board further resolved that all powers and authorities previously conferred upon Mr. Iqbal have been revoked with immediate effect.

Mr. Khalid has been authorized to exercise complete executive powers and authorities. His responsibilities include representing and binding Quetta Textile Mills Limited in dealings with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), PSX, banks, financial institutions, government departments, and other entities, as required for the company’s day-to-day operations.

Additionally, the Company Secretary has been authorized to file all necessary documentation with the SECP, PSX, and any other relevant authority to formalize the transition in leadership.
