Karachi: Quice Food Industries Limited has reported a significant increase in sales revenue for the nine-month period ending March 31, 2025. According to the Directors' Report, the company achieved sales of PKR 832.90 million, marking a 48.35% increase from the PKR 561.42 million recorded during the same period in the previous year.
The report attributes this robust growth to strategic efforts by the company's management to expand into foreign markets and capitalize on domestic demand, particularly during the Holy month of Ramadan and the onset of summer. These efforts have resulted in a gross profit of PKR 149.43 million, up 34.49% from PKR 111.11 million in the prior year. This increase in gross profit is attributed to enhanced topline revenue and improved cost control measures.
Despite the rise in sales, the company's profit after taxation saw a modest increase of 4.61%, amounting to PKR 7.72 million, compared to PKR 7.38 million in the corresponding period last year. The limited growth in profit is attributed to a 38.31% rise in distribution costs, including local transportation, freight charges, and shipping expenses. Additionally, marketing and advertising expenses increased to support the boost in sales.
Earnings per share for the period stood at Re. 0.08, slightly higher than Re. 0.07 in the previous year. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these financial results underscore the company's strategic initiatives and market responsiveness.
Quice Food Industries Limited continues to focus on maximizing its market reach and optimizing operational efficiencies, contributing to its positive financial trajectory in the designated market category.
