Rebalancing of NBP Pakistan Growth Index Announced by Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited has announced the completion of the rebalancing exercise of the NBP Pakistan Growth Index (NBPPGI) as of April 30, 2025. This adjustment has been made in accordance with the index rules accessible on the PSX website. The revised weights of the NBPPG Index constituents are set to be implemented starting Thursday, May 8, 2025.

The newly adjusted index reflects changes in the weights of 15 constituent companies. The Hub Power Company Limited and Oil & Gas Development Company Limited each hold a weight of 10.00%. Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited follows with a weight of 9.72%, and United Bank Limited holds 9.56%. Pakistan Petroleum Limited has a weight of 8.98%, while Pakistan State Oil Company Limited stands at 7.79%.

Meezan Bank Limited and Lucky Cement Limited have weights of 6.53% and 6.49%, respectively. Engro Holdings Limited is weighted at 6.21%, with Habib Bank Limited at 5.36%. Engro Fertilizers Limited and MCB Bank Limited hold weights of 4.75% and 4.05%, respectively. Systems Limited and Bank AL Habib Limited have weights of 3.91% and 3.63%, while Pakistan Oilfields Limited holds a weight of 3.00%.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these adjustments are part of the regular rebalancing process carried out to ensure the index accurately represents the performance of the market. The designated market category for this index remains unchanged.

These changes are intended to reflect the current market conditions and provide a more accurate benchmark for investors and stakeholders. The revised weights will be effective from May 8, 2025, and are expected to influence trading and investment decisions in the coming months.
