Multan: Reliance Weaving Mills Limited has confirmed the appointment of Nasir Javaid Maqsood Imran Chartered Accountants (NJMI) to oversee the voting procedures at its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting is scheduled to take place on October 28, 2024, at Multan.
Under the stipulations of Regulations 4(4) and 11 of the Companies (Postal Ballot) Regulations 2018, NJMI will act as the scrutinizer to ensure the integrity and compliance of the voting process during the AGM. The firm, established in 1995 and part of the MGI Association—which ranks among the top 17 international audit, tax, accounting, and consulting groups—brings a wealth of experience from its offices in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. This background will support the scrutinization of special business items on the AGM agenda.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the designation of NJMI as scrutinizer underscores Reliance Weaving Mills’ commitment to maintaining stringent compliance standards and ensuring transparency in shareholder voting processes.
The company has highlighted that NJMI’s role is crucial for upholding rigorous voting standards and procedures as required by corporate governance regulations, which will be closely monitored and reported in adherence to Regulation 11 A of the Postal Ballot Regulations.
