Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced the scheduling of the 22nd Auction of Government Ijarah Sukuk (GIS), inclusive of Green Sukuk, to be held on May 29, 2025. The auction will be conducted through the PSX Auction System, according to a notice, PSX/N-536, released on May 22, 2025.

All Broker Clearing Members (BCMs), Non-Broker Clearing Members (NBCMs), and Professional Clearing Members (PCM) affiliated with the National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) have been informed of their eligibility to participate in this auction. They are permitted to engage in the auction for their proprietary accounts, investors, and funds managed under their direction.

Participants who enrolled new investors during the Green Sukuk auction on May 16, 2025, must ensure the same investors are registered for this upcoming auction. The credentials provided for the 20th auction on April 30, 2025, including Participant Admin User details for both back office and front office, will remain valid for the forthcoming auction. Any amendments to these details should be communicated to PSX/NCCPL through the designated email channels.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), BCM participants are obligated to furnish a 10% Advance Committed Amount for each instrument. They must communicate this to PSX/NCCPL via email, specifying "Primary Market Auction Setup" in the subject line.

The investors registered in the system from the April 30, 2025, auction will remain recorded in the auction system. Participants are tasked with mapping the instruments and assigning cash as relevant. The system requires accurate entry of UIN, CDC Participant ID, and CDC Sub Account No./CDC Investor A/c No. to process investor registration, as it is integrated with the CDC system. Should an investor lack a Trading Account, CDC Sub Account, or CDC Investor Account, participants must enter "00000" in the Participant ID field and leave the CDC Sub Account field blank during registration.
