Revised Trading and Settlement Schedule Announced for Bank Al Habib Limited Due to Deliverable Future Contracts Split

Karachi: In an important development for market participants, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a revision in the trading and settlement schedule for Bank Al Habib Limited (BAHL) due to the announcement of a book closure date. This change affects Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) for February, March, and April 2025. The revised schedule comes after previous notifications were issued under PSX/N-1144 on November 29, 2024, PSX/N-1272 on December 27, 2024, and PSX/N-140 on January 31, 2025.

For Bank Al Habib Limited, the trading and settlement will now occur on a cum-benefit basis as follows: The February contract will open on December 2, 2025, and close on February 12, 2025, with settlement on February 14, 2025. The March contract is set from December 30, 2025, to February 12, 2025, also settling on February 14, 2025. The April contract will run from February 3, 2025, to February 12, 2025, with settlement on February 14, 2025.

Meanwhile, the trading and settlement schedule without the entitlement of benefit, or on an ex-benefit basis, will be as follows: The FEBB contract will open on February 10, 2025, and close on February 28, 2025, with settlement on March 4, 2025. The MARB contract will span from February 10, 2025, to March 27, 2025, settling on April 3, 2025. Finally, the APRB contract will open on February 10, 2025, closing on April 25, 2025, with settlement on April 29, 2025.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trades taking place in the shares of Bank Al Habib Limited under FEBB, MARB, and APRB contracts will not be eligible for entitlements and will be traded on an ex-benefit basis. The overlapping period for these securities will be three trading days, from February 10, 2025, to February 12, 2025.
