Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced changes to the trading and settlement schedules for Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) in November and December 2024 due to book closure dates of specific companies.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the revised schedule affects the DFC for November and December originally detailed in notices PSX/N-840 and PSX/N-949. For Bank Al Habib Limited and Faysal Bank Limited, the trading and settlement on a cum-benefit basis for November will start on September 2, 2024, and close on October 29, 2024, with settlement finalized by October 31, 2024. December’s schedule mirrors these dates.
Additionally, the trading schedule without benefit entitlement has been set as well. For the NOVB and DECB contracts, trading will commence on October 25, 2024, and end on November 29 and December 27, respectively, with settlements on December 3 and December 31.
The PSX notice emphasizes the ineligibility of trades of these securities during the NOVB and DECB contracts for benefit payments, as they will be traded on an ex-benefit basis. Furthermore, a three-day rollover period from October 25 to October 29, 2024, has been instituted.
PSX retains the right to alter these dates or adjust the duration of contracts if necessary. This information should be noted by all market participants and stakeholders involved.
