Revised Trading Schedule Announced for Faysal Bank, Habib Bank, MCB Bank, and Meezan Bank

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a revised trading and settlement schedule for deliverable future contracts following the announcement of book closure dates for Faysal Bank Limited, Habib Bank Limited, MCB Bank Limited, and Meezan Bank Limited. The adjustments affect the trading timelines for the months of August, September, and October 2026.

According to the PSX, the trading and settlement schedule on a cum-benefit basis will now begin on August 1, 2026, with the closing of contracts set for August 12, 2026. Settlement will occur the following day, on August 13, 2026. This adjustment applies to the contracts designated as DFC-AUG-26, DFC-SEP-26, and DFC-OCT-26, originally scheduled through notices PSX/N-662, PSX/N-779, and PSX/N-956.

Following the cum-benefit schedule, the trading and settlement on an ex-benefit basis will commence on August 10, 2026. Contracts for this period, identified as AUGB, SEPB, and OCTB, will close on August 28, September 25, and October 30, 2026, respectively, with settlement dates set for the succeeding Mondays. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trades executed during this period will not be eligible for entitlements.

The PSX has noted that there will be an overlap in the trading schedule for three days, from August 10 to August 12, 2026. Participants are urged to make note of these changes, as any trades executed during the overlapping period will be on an ex-benefit basis. The PSX also retains the authority to alter these dates if necessary.
