Revised Trading Schedule Announced for Pakistan ETFs Amid Book Closure

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced a revised trading and settlement schedule for several Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) due to the book closure dates of specific companies. This adjustment affects the Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) for June, July, and August 2026. The changes were communicated through prior notices, including PSX/N-357 dated March 27, 2026, PSX/N-476 dated April 24, 2026, and PSX/N-662 dated May 29, 2026.

The companies affected by this adjustment include the Meezan Pakistan ETF (MZNPETF) and the NIT Pakistan Gateway ETF (NITGETF). For these ETFs, the trading and settlement schedule on a cum-benefit basis will see the June contract open on March 30, 2026, closing on June 23, 2026, with settlement on June 24, 2026. The July and August contracts will follow a similar closing and settlement pattern.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the trading schedule without the entitlement of benefit for these ETFs will commence on June 23, 2026, and conclude on July 31, 2026, for the July contract, and August 28, 2026, for the August contract. Settlement for these contracts will occur on August 3, 2026, and August 31, 2026, respectively.

Additionally, the NBP Pakistan Growth ETF (NBPGETF) and the UBL Pakistan Enterprise ETF (UBLPETF) are also subject to the revised schedules. These ETFs will adhere to a similar trading and settlement timeline as the aforementioned ETFs, with contracts opening in late April and early June and closing on June 23, 2026, for the cum-benefit basis. The without benefit schedule will follow the same pattern as other affected ETFs.

Market participants are advised to note these changes and adjust their trading strategies accordingly to accommodate the revised schedules.
