Safe Mix Concrete Limited Implements Postal Voting for Upcoming AGM

Karachi: Safe Mix Concrete Limited has announced the implementation of a postal voting system for their Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for October 25, 2024. The initiative aims to facilitate shareholder participation in decision-making processes, especially for those unable to attend in person.

The AGM will take place at Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana in Karachi and will also be accessible via video conferencing, ensuring broad accessibility amid ongoing efforts to enhance shareholder engagement. The meeting's agenda includes crucial discussions, with postal ballots specifically arranged for voting on special business items listed under agenda number 5.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the postal ballots will be managed by M/s. THK Associates (Private) Limited, which has been appointed as the Balloter and E-Service Provider. Shareholders are required to submit their ballots to the designated email address provided by the company, ensuring their votes are counted in the forthcoming resolutions.

One of the key resolutions involves approval of transactions with related parties, where the Board of Directors is authorized to conduct business on a case-by-case basis throughout the financial year ending June 30, 2025. This measure is set to streamline operations and facilitate timely decision-making regarding transactions that could impact the company’s financial health.

Safe Mix Concrete’s proactive approach to incorporating electronic and postal voting reflects a broader trend of integrating technology to improve corporate governance and stakeholder involvement, promising a more inclusive and efficient AGM.
