Saif Power Limited Releases Shariah Compliance Disclosure for First Half of 2026

Karachi: Saif Power Limited has announced its Shariah compliance disclosure for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026, in accordance with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regulations. This disclosure, as per PSX Notice No PSX/Gen-1073 dated September 11, 2026, aligns with the requirements set forth in the Companies Act, 2017.

The company has detailed its financial standings with respect to Shariah-compliant and conventional financial activities. As of June 30, 2026, Saif Power Limited reported Shariah-compliant short-term borrowings amounting to 1.49 billion PKR and conventional borrowings at 3.13 billion PKR. Comparatively, as of December 31, 2025, these figures stood at 1.55 billion PKR and 2.16 billion PKR, respectively.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Saif Power Limited's revenue from business segments for the first half of 2026 was 2.43 billion PKR from Shariah-compliant activities. Meanwhile, conventional activities generated 4.52 billion PKR in revenue.

The disclosure also includes specific details on interest expenses and other financial gains. The interest expense for the period was reported at 79.78 million PKR for Shariah-compliant transactions and 154.41 million PKR for conventional ones. Additionally, the company earned a profit of 13.43 million PKR from Shariah-compliant deposit accounts and 112.48 million PKR from conventional investments.
