SECP Seeks Public Input on Reforming Shareholders’ Meetings for Listed Companies

Islamabad, The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has launched a public consultation process on a comprehensive report aimed at reforming the conduct of shareholders’ meetings by listed companies. The announcement, made through a press release, encourages input from all listed companies and relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and efficiency in these gatherings.

The report, compiled by a committee of experts, outlines significant recommendations for improving the conduct of shareholders' meetings, addressing issues related to transparency and the overall efficiency of these events. Stakeholders are invited to review the document and submit their feedback and insights to the SECP, either through letter or email, by the deadline of March 30, 2024.
