Karachi: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has taken decisive action by cancelling the securities broker license of Fairtrade Capital Securities (Private) Limited. This follows the company’s failure to apply for a renewal of its broker license, as per the announcement dated March 12, 2026.
Fairtrade Capital, a brokerage firm operating in the designated market category, had its trading facility suspended previously. This suspension was communicated through PSX Notice No. PSX/N-1045 on September 30, 2025. The cancellation of the license marks a continuation of regulatory steps taken against the firm.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Fairtrade Capital’s trading activities had already been halted, rendering the recent cancellation a formalization of the company’s inactive status within the market.
Stakeholders and market participants have been advised to take note of the developments concerning Fairtrade Capital, as the SECP continues to enforce compliance and regulatory standards across the market.
