Security Papers Limited Reports Increased Profits in Latest Quarter

Karachi: Security Papers Limited has officially released its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2024. The Board of Directors, in their meeting on October 21, 2024, approved the unaudited condensed interim financial statements, showing a notable improvement in net profits compared to the same period last year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's sales for the quarter reached 2,059.14 million, up from 1,728.56 million in 2023, marking a significant rise in revenue. The cost of sales was also up at 1,482.58 million compared to 1,244.56 million the previous year.

The gross profit stood at 576.56 million, compared to 483.99 million in September 2023. Administrative expenses amounted to 123.72 million, while other income increased to 245.48 million, up from 260.53 million last year. Despite the rise in other expenses to 50.41 million and minimal finance costs at 0.47 million, the company's profit before taxation surged to 647.45 million from 595.63 million.

Post-taxation figures show a profit of 386.19 million, an increase from 365.19 million in the previous year, with earnings per share rising from 6.16 to 6.52. The quarterly report will be disseminated through PUCARS within the specified timeframe.
