Service Industries Limited Completes Share Sub-Division, Maintains Capital Value

Lahore: Service Industries Limited has announced the completion of its share sub-division process, resulting in an increase in the number of ordinary shares without altering the total subscribed and paid-up capital value. This move follows a special resolution passed by the company's shareholders on August 4, 2026, and all related regulatory formalities were finalized by August 22, 2026.

The sub-division has transformed the nominal value of each ordinary share from Rs. 10 to Rs. 1, effectively multiplying the number of shares tenfold. Consequently, the number of ordinary shares increased from 46,987,454 to 469,874,540. However, the value of the total subscribed and paid-up capital remains constant, ensuring no changes in the rights and privileges attached to the shares.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's authorized share capital also underwent a similar transformation, with the number of shares rising from 100 million to 1 billion, while the total value remained at Rs. 1 billion.

Shareholders with physical share certificates are required to exchange their certificates for new ones reflecting the revised face value. These shareholders must submit the original certificates along with relevant documentation to M/s. Corplink (Private) Limited, the company's Share Registrar in Lahore.

The company has adhered to all necessary regulations as prescribed under Section 85 of the Companies Act, 2017, and has duly filed 'Form-7' and 'Form-26' with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in Lahore, confirming adherence to the legal framework governing such corporate actions.
