Lahore: Service Industries Textiles Ltd., a prominent entity in the textile sector, has scheduled its 63rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) for October 28, 2024. The meeting will take place at Lahore. This announcement was made public through a notice issued to the General Manager of the Pakistan Stock Exchange Ltd. in Karachi.

The upcoming AGM will address several key points, including the approval of the minutes from the previous year's meeting, the adoption of the annual audited accounts for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and the Directors’ Auditors’ Report for the same period. Shareholders will also appoint statutory auditors for the upcoming fiscal year and will consider their remuneration. The existing auditors, Crowe Hussain Chaudhury & Co., have expressed interest in continuing in their role.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has outlined additional administrative details related to the AGM. The share transfer books of Service Industries Textiles will be closed from October 22 to October 28, 2024. Transfers processed up to the end of business on October 21 will be considered valid for attending the meeting. Shareholders unable to attend can appoint proxies to vote on their behalf, provided the proxy forms are submitted at least 48 hours before the meeting.

Further administrative guidelines include requirements for attendees to provide a national ID or passport, and if represented by proxy, an attested copy of these documents must be enclosed. The meeting will also allow for the transaction of any other business approved by the Chair.

The notice of the AGM will be published in major newspapers on October 5, 2024, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and able to participate in the governance of the company.
