Karachi: SG Allied Businesses Limited has announced that its 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be convened on October 28, 2024, at the company’s headquarters in Karachi, aiming to discuss key fiscal summaries and strategies for the upcoming year. The meeting is set at the company's registered office located at Karachi.
The agenda for this year’s AGM includes the adoption of audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and the review of both directors’ and auditors’ reports from the previous year. Additionally, shareholders will confirm the minutes of the last AGM held on October 27, 2023, and appoint auditors for the fiscal year 2024-25, setting their remunerations.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company will also address any other business approved by the chairperson. Notably, the shareholders’ transfer books will be closed from October 22 to October 28, 2024, to facilitate the proceedings.
SG Allied Businesses Limited has instructed shareholders who are unable to attend to appoint proxies. These proxies must be backed by a board resolution or power of attorney if appointed by a corporate entity. All proxies should be submitted to the company’s registered office no later than 48 hours before the meeting to be deemed effective.
The company has also advised members to update their mailing addresses with F.D. Registrar Services, to ensure timely receipt of all communication. Shareholders participating via the Central Depository Company (CDC) are required to present their Computerized National Identity Cards along with their account numbers for verification at the meeting.
This AGM follows the guidelines issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as of January 26, 2000, concerning shareholder participation and the conduct of the meeting.
