Karachi: SG Power Limited, a public limited company listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, has reported financial difficulties for the period ending March 31, 2026. The company, which specializes in the generation and supply of electric power, faced a significant decline in sales due to a lack of demand from its associated company, SG Allied Business Limited. This downturn has resulted in a recorded loss of Rs. 1,882,323 for the period, contrasting with a loss of Rs. 3,773,657 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

SG Power, incorporated on February 10, 1994, operates under the framework of the Companies Act, 2017, following its initial establishment under the now-repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984. The company’s core activity is centered around the generation of electric power, with its primary client being SG Allied Business Limited. However, for the period under review, the company reported no sales compared to Rs. 4,261,860 in the previous year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company’s financial performance has been adversely impacted due to the absence of electricity demand from its sister concern. The accumulated loss as of March 31, 2026, stands at Rs. 268.66 million, reflecting the ongoing challenges faced by the company in maintaining its financial stability.

SG Power is also committed to expanding its footprint in the healthcare sector. The company aims to enhance its distribution network for pharmaceuticals and related products, striving to ensure the availability of high-quality medical equipment and pharmaceutical supplies. The company plans to strengthen relationships with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers to support this expansion.
