Share Certificates Missing at Kohat Cement Company

Karachi: Kohat Cement Company Limited has announced the loss of several share certificates belonging to a prominent shareholder, a situation that has prompted an advisory to the Pakistan Stock Exchange as of September 20, 2024.

The missing documents include certificates from three folios with distinct certificate numbers, totaling 2,517 shares. The most significant loss involves 1,173 shares under certificate numbers 50843-50845. Mr. Aqeel Karim Dhedi, the shareholder affected by this misplacement, holds all the certificates reported lost.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has issued a notice to its members, urging them not to transact with these certificates. If no objections are raised within seven days, Kohat Cement will proceed to issue duplicates to Mr. Dhedi, aiming to safeguard his interests and ensure the continuity of his investment rights.

This incident falls under the Mid Cap category on the PSX, reflecting its potential impact on a medium scale. Kohat Cement has committed to taking further measures to secure shareholders' assets and prevent future occurrences.
