Lahore: Pioneer Cement Limited has announced the receipt of an indemnity claim for the reported loss of twelve share certificates covering a total of 1,097 shares. This notification follows a report by Mrs. Tauqeer Jamsheed, a shareholder who detailed the loss under various certificate numbers and distinctive numbers.
The shares in question are divided among several certificates, with holdings ranging from 47 to 400 shares per certificate. The company has detailed the loss as follows: four certificates covering 400 shares, two certificates covering 200 shares, three certificates covering 300 shares, one certificate covering 100 shares, and two other certificates covering 50 and 47 shares, respectively.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company has yet to verify the transfer deed for these certificates. This step is crucial to ensure the rightful ownership of shares before any reissuance is processed.
In the absence of any claims or objections from other parties, Pioneer Cement Limited plans to issue duplicate share certificates seven days from the date the circular was issued by the Pakistan Stock Exchange. This measure is in line with the company’s protocol to handle such matters efficiently and to safeguard shareholder interests.
The company urges any parties with potential claims to come forward within this time frame to prevent the issuance of duplicates to the wrong entity. The designated market category for these shares remains unchanged during this process.
This notice serves as a reminder to shareholders to maintain accurate records of their holdings and to report any discrepancies promptly to avoid similar situations in the future.
