Shares Worth 200,000 Lost by Grays Leasing Limited Shareholders


Karachi: Grays Leasing Limited has reported the loss of share certificates totaling 200,000 shares, according to a notice issued on January 6, 2026. The Pakistan Stock Exchange has been informed of these incidents and it advises its members against transacting with these certificates until further notice.



The first report, dated December 22, 2025, was filed by Mr. Aftab Mobarik of Sialkot Cantt, detailing the loss of certificates representing 181,666 shares. These include certificate numbers ranging from 69 to 4130, with distinctive numbers spanning from 4315001 to 18302411. Verification status for these certificates remains pending.



Meanwhile, a separate report was submitted on the same date by Mr. Umer Hayat from Mohallah Prem Nagar, Sialkot. This report accounts for the loss of certificates covering 18,333 shares. The affected certificates, numbered from 3919 to 4653, carry distinctive numbers from 17356389 to 19712682. As with the previous case, verification has yet to be completed.



According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the exchange has notified its members of these losses and has instructed them to refrain from engaging in transactions involving these specific certificates. The company has stated that if no objections are received within seven days of the notice, duplicate share certificates will be issued to the concerned shareholders once all necessary documentation is finalized.
