Karachi: A series of share certificate losses have been reported by THK Associates (Pvt.) Limited and Bank of Khyber, affecting multiple individuals in Karachi and Matiari. According to a report dated September 11, 2026, the loss of these certificates has prompted a notice to be circulated among exchange members.
At the center of these reports is Muhammad Rashid, who resides in Block-17, F.B. Area, Karachi. Rashid notified the loss of several certificates with distinctive numbers ranging from 50247231 to 693185231, totaling a quantity of 631 shares.
In a separate report, Barkat Rehman from Matiari, District Matiari, also reported a loss. His certificates, with distinctive numbers from 452517632 to 1138012031, sum up to a quantity of 360 shares.
Additionally, Mannweer Alison, located in Phase-VW, DHA, Karachi, has reported missing certificates. The distinctive numbers for these range from 431162793 to 838750172, with a total quantity of 509 shares being affected.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), members have been advised not to engage in any trading involving these certificates unless objections are raised within seven days of the notice. If no objections are received, duplicate certificates will be issued to the concerned individuals.
These reported losses have drawn attention from various stakeholders in the market category, as the volume of shares affected is significant. The situation remains closely monitored as the deadline for objections approaches.
