Significant Transactions Reported in IGI Holdings Limited Shares


Karachi: IGI Holdings Limited has disclosed recent transactions involving key stakeholders in compliance with Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) Regulation 5.6.4. The disclosure, dated October 13, 2025, outlines two major transactions executed by individuals and entities associated with the company.



The transactions, conducted on October 10, 2025, reveal that Syed Babar Ali, a non-executive director, executed a transaction involving 250,000 shares through the Central Depository Company (CDC) in the ready market. This transaction did not alter his cumulative percentage holding, which remains at 0.11%. The nature of this transaction is classified as “our,” a term not further elaborated within the report.



In a separate transaction, the Babar Ali Foundation, recognized as a substantial shareholder, also engaged in a transaction involving 250,000 shares, similarly executed through the CDC in the ready market. This transaction was classified as a “GIFT IN” and has not affected the cumulative percentage holding of 11.78%.



According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), these transactions are part of routine disclosures required under regulatory frameworks to ensure transparency and accountability among significant shareholders and company executives.



The company emphasizes that these transactions will be reviewed in the forthcoming Board of Directors meeting, as mandated. Additionally, requirements stipulate that any profit gained from transactions executed within a six-month holding period must be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), aligning with Section 105 of the Securities Act, 2015. Furthermore, no director, CEO, or executive is permitted to engage in share dealings during closed periods to prevent any conflict of interest.
