Standard Chartered Pakistan to Approve Mid-Year Financials Amid Trading Restrictions

Karachi: Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited (SCBPL) is set to hold a board meeting on August 26, 2024, to review and approve its financial statements for the first half of the year, ending June 30, 2024.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the bank has announced a "Closed Period" starting from August 16, 2024, until the day after the financial results are made public on August 27, 2024. During this period, directors, the CEO, and executives are prohibited from trading shares of the bank. This restriction is in compliance with Clause 5.6.4 of the Rule Book of the Exchange, which aims to prevent insider trading.

The financial statements in question will provide a snapshot of the bank’s performance over the first six months of the year. Details of these results will be disclosed following the board’s approval at the upcoming meeting.
