Lahore: Stylers International Limited, a prominent entity listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, has announced a forthcoming change in its auditing firm, slated to take effect next year. The Lahore-based company disclosed that M/s. BDO Ebrahim and Co., Chartered Accountants, will replace M/s. Riaz Ahmad and Company as its auditors for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
The decision, as detailed in a recent notice, comes after a proposal from a shareholder under the provisions of Section 246(3) of the Companies Act, 2017. The appointment of the new auditors will be officially decided upon at Stylers International’s annual general meeting, which is scheduled for October 28, 2024, at the company’s registered office in Lahore.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the move to change auditors is part of routine corporate governance, allowing companies to maintain the integrity of financial oversight by rotating audit firms. BDO Ebrahim and Co., with its offices located at Lahore, will take over the audit responsibilities from the retiring auditors M/s. Riaz Ahmad and Company, Chartered Accountant.
