Karachi: Sunrays Textile Mills Ltd. has disclosed a recent share transaction involving a senior executive, in compliance with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regulations. The transaction, conducted by the company's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Irfan Ahmed, was reported as a "gift in," involving a total of 500,169 shares.
The transaction was executed through an electronic Central Depository Company (CDC) on April 21, 2025. Following this transaction, Mr. Ahmed's cumulative shareholding in Sunrays Textile Mills Ltd. increased to 2,260,983 shares, which represents 10.92% of the company's total shares.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the transaction details are expected to be presented in the subsequent board meeting. This review will include an assessment for any potential non-compliance issues, as stipulated under clause 5.6.4 of the PSX Regulations.
The company further confirmed adherence to regulatory requirements regarding the holding period for transactions. Specifically, the holding period exceeds six months. Should any profit arise from transactions executed within six months, it must be deposited with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), as directed under Section 105 of the Securities Act, and reported to the PSX.
