Islamabad: Supernet Limited has officially announced that it will be relocating its registered office from Islamabad to Karachi, following the adoption of a special resolution during an Extraordinary General Meeting held on January 24, 2025. This strategic move is contingent upon the confirmation of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan under Sections 21 and 32 of the Companies Act, 2017.
During the meeting, shareholders passed a resolution approving the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on October 28, 2024. The highlight of the meeting was the special resolution that authorized the change of the company's registered office from Islamabad Capital Territory to the Province of Sindh. The new address will be "9th Floor, Tower B, World Trade Center, Block - 05, Clifton, Karachi".
The meeting also outlined necessary amendments to the Memorandum of Association, specifically Clause 2, to reflect the new location of the registered office. All references to the previous Islamabad office in the company's Memorandum and Articles of Association will be updated accordingly.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this relocation is part of Supernet Limited's strategic expansion plans. The move is expected to facilitate better market access and operational efficiency in the designated market category. The decision also empowers the company's CEO, Director, or Company Secretary to implement the resolutions, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate formalities.
The company's management emphasized that all legal requirements and regulatory formalities will be meticulously followed to ensure a seamless transition to the new registered office location. This relocation marks a significant milestone in Supernet Limited's journey towards strengthening its presence and operations within the local market.
