Supernet Limited Sets Date for Annual General Meeting in Islamabad

Islamabad: Supernet Limited announced plans for its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for October 28, 2024, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Islamabad, aiming to discuss key business including the election of directors and the adoption of annual financial statements.

According to the notice circulated among TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange, the AGM will mark the confirmation of minutes from the previous year's meeting, held on October 27, 2023. The primary agenda will feature the election of directors to serve for the next three years, in compliance with the Companies Act 2017. Currently, the board proposes to retain seven directors, with several eligible for re-election, including Mr. Syed Aamir Hussain and Ms. Naueen Ahmed among others.

Furthermore, the shareholders will review and adopt the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. These documents, inclusive of the director’s and auditor’s reports, have been made available since March 21, 2023, on the company’s website, adhering to statutory requirements.

The meeting will also see the appointment of the company’s external auditors. The current auditors, M/s Parker Russell – A.J.S. Chartered Accountants, have indicated their availability for re-appointment for the following year.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this AGM will additionally include a session to address any further business approved by the Chair, ensuring comprehensive governance and strategic planning for the coming year.
