Karachi: In a notable development for Pakistan's information and communications technology sector, Supernet Technologies Limited has reported a significant rise in revenue and profit following its merger with Supernet Limited, as detailed in the company's Annual Report for the year ending June 30, 2026. The completion of the merger, sanctioned by the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi on February 24, 2026, has resulted in the successful consolidation of operations under the unified Supernet Global brand.
The merger, effective from January 1, 2025, has streamlined the company's structure and enhanced its operational efficiency. Supernet Technologies Limited, now listed on the main board of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) under the ticker 'STL', has issued consideration shares at a swap ratio of 1.68 STL shares for every SNL share. This strategic move has dissolved Supernet Limited without winding up, consolidating revenue generation under STL.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company's consolidated revenue for FY2026 reached PKR 8.08 billion, a very large or significant move from the previous year's PKR 4.89 billion. The gross profit for the consolidated entity rose to PKR 1.94 billion, compared to PKR 0.89 billion in FY2025. The unconsolidated financials show a revenue of PKR 5.73 billion in FY2026, up from PKR 3.60 billion the previous year, with a gross profit of PKR 1.40 billion. This reflects a robust gross profit margin of 24.4%.
The company recorded a consolidated profit after taxation of PKR 467.2 million, a substantial increase from PKR 78.4 million in FY2025. Earnings per share also saw a significant rise to PKR 4.03 from PKR 1.39. On an unconsolidated basis, the company reported a profit after taxation of PKR 288.4 million, a turnaround from a loss of PKR 83.4 million in the prior year.
Supernet Technologies Limited's strategic focus on recurring connectivity, cybersecurity, and managed services has proven effective, accounting for 76% of its consolidated revenue. The data networking services, a core recurring business, contributed PKR 4.25 billion or 74% of the company's unconsolidated revenue. The company's engagement with key sectors, including banking, oil and gas, and government, has resulted in high-demand contracts, ensuring stable future revenue streams.
The company secured a landmark contract worth approximately PKR 1 billion in June 2026 for enhancing critical communications infrastructure, marking the largest single contract in its history. This contract underscores the confidence placed in the company's capabilities by leading institutions and is expected to be executed in FY2026-27.
Pakistan's ICT sector's growth, with exports reaching a record US$4.6 billion and a 21% increase from the previous fiscal year, reflects the sector's expanding international presence. Domestically, the completion of the 5G spectrum auction and the Digital Nation Pakistan Act, 2025, have created further opportunities for investment in digital infrastructure. These developments provide a supportive foundation for Supernet Technologies Limited's continued growth in telecommunications, ICT infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions.
