Suspension of Trading in Arif Habib Corporation Limited Shares Announced


Karachi: The National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) has announced the suspension of trading in the shares of Arif Habib Corporation Limited (AHCL) from March 24, 2025, to March 26, 2025. This suspension follows a notice from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), referenced as PSX Notice # PSX/N-298 dated March 20, 2025, regarding a change in the face value of AHCL shares.



According to the announcement, all clearing members are advised to adhere to the revised clearing and settlement schedule for both regular and leverage markets during this period. The trading and settlement schedule for the regular market includes specific dates for trading, settlement, and the close-out process. Notably, the square-up market will not be available on March 19, 2025, with pending deliveries to be closed out on March 21, 2025, and on subsequent dates.



For the leverage market, March 20, 2025, has been set as the last trading date for taking up new positions under the Margin Financing System (MFN) and Securities Lending & Borrowing (SLB). The settlement for these transactions is scheduled for March 24, 2025. Additionally, any open positions under the SLB will be force-released on March 21, 2025, at the end of the market day.



The release of open positions under the Margin Financing System (MFS), whether associated with a sale or not, is scheduled for March 21, 2025, with a settlement date of March 25, 2025. Margin financed securities will be transferred to the respective CDS sub-accounts of margin financees on the same day.
