Synthetic Products Enterprises Limited to Rebrand as SPEL Limited

Lahore: In a noteworthy development for the corporate community, shareholders of Synthetic Products Enterprises Limited have approved a series of special resolutions to change the company's name to SPEL Limited. The decision was finalized during an Extra Ordinary General Meeting held at the ICMA Pakistan Building on 42 Ferozpur Road, near Mozang Chungi, Lahore, at 11:30 AM on Monday, March 10, 2025.

The meeting saw the shareholders vote in favor of amending the company's key documents to reflect the new name. Specifically, Clause I of the Memorandum of Association and Clause (c) of Article 2 of the Articles of Association have been amended to replace 'Synthetic Products Enterprises Limited' with 'SPEL Limited.' Furthermore, the update will be applied across all statutory documents where the former name appears.

The company's Board of Directors has authorized the Company Secretary to undertake all necessary legal, corporate, and procedural steps to implement the name change. This includes the amendment of the Memorandum and Articles of Association to ensure consistency with the new corporate identity.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this rebranding marks a significant milestone for the company, as it aims to streamline its corporate identity and enhance brand recognition in the market. The designated market category for SPEL Limited remains unchanged following the rebranding initiative.

The resolutions also include provisions allowing for amendments, modifications, additions, or deletions as necessary, without requiring further approval from the shareholders.
