Telecard Subsidiary Supernet Limited Secures 20-Year Telecom Licenses

Karachi: In a significant development in the telecommunications sector, Telecard Limited has announced that its subsidiary, Supernet Limited, has been awarded extensive licensing by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Starting from October 22, 2024, these licenses will span a 20-year period and cover all 14 Telecom Regions across Pakistan.

According to the disclosure sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), Supernet Limited has been granted Fixed Local Loop (FLL) licenses that not only encompass a comprehensive reach but are also set to replace the previously held Class Value Added Services (CVAS) licenses. This strategic shift in licensing is expected to allow Supernet more operational flexibility and the capacity to offer enhanced services to a broader customer base.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the awarded FLL licenses are superior to the CVAS licenses and promise substantial infrastructure development and additional services. These advancements are anticipated to drive significant growth in revenues and profit margins for the entire Telecard Group.

This expansion of licensing rights underlines Supernet Limited’s growth strategy and its commitment to enhancing connectivity and services throughout Pakistan, promising a positive impact on its market positioning and financial health in the coming years.
