Karachi: TPL Trakker Limited has requested a 30-day extension to conduct its Annual General Meeting (AGM) originally scheduled for October 28, 2024. This extension is sought to finalize the annual report and other compliance documents for the financial year ending June 30, 2024.
The request for the delay was submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on October 4, 2024, citing complications beyond the company’s control which prevented the timely completion of the required financial statements and reports. According to documents provided by TPL Trakker, the last AGM was conducted on October 23, 2023, where financial statements for the fiscal year 2022-2023 were approved.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the extension application includes an affidavit signed by Shayan Mufti, the company secretary. The company emphasizes that despite best efforts to adhere to regulatory standards and accounting principles, they need additional time to present a comprehensive annual report to shareholders.
The SECP’s Corporate Supervision Department and the Policy Regulations and Development Department received the extension application under Section 132 of the Companies Act, 2017. If granted, the new date for the AGM will be November 27, 2024.
This extension, if approved, aims to ensure that all stakeholders have access to complete and accurate financial information before making any further decisions regarding the company’s operations and investments.
