Trading and Settlement Schedule Revised for DFCs in Response to Book Closure Dates

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange has announced a revision to the trading and settlement schedule for the Deliverable Future Contracts (DFC) for September and October 2026. This change is in response to the book closure dates for Adamjee Insurance Company Limited (AICL) and The Bank of Punjab (BOP), as detailed in a report dated August 28, 2026.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the trading and settlement on a cum-benefit basis for the mentioned companies will adhere to the following schedule: The SEP contract, which initially opened on June 29, 2026, will close on September 2, 2026, with settlement occurring on September 3, 2026. Similarly, the OCT contract, opened on August 3, 2026, will also close on September 2, 2026, with settlement on September 3, 2026.

For trading and settlement without the entitlement of benefit, the SEPB contract will open on August 31, 2026, close on September 25, 2026, and settle on September 28, 2026. The OCTB contract will follow, opening on August 31, 2026, closing on October 30, 2026, and settling on November 2, 2026.

This adjustment, notified earlier through notices PSX/N-779 and PSX/N-956, ensures that market participants are informed and can plan their trading activities accordingly. The designated market category for these transactions remains unaffected by these changes.
