Trading Suspension Continues for Al-Mal Securities, First Investec Modaraba, and Usman Textile Mills

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange has announced the continuation of trading suspensions for three companies, citing persistent regulatory defaults. The affected companies include M/s. Al-Mal Securities & Services Limited, M/s. First Investec Modaraba, and M/s. Usman Textile Mills Limited.

According to the report dated October 16, 2026, the companies have not addressed the reasons behind their trading suspension initially highlighted in PSX Notice No. PSX/N-1015 on August 19, 2026. The regulatory defaults include the failure to hold Annual General Meetings, non-submission of annual audited accounts, non-payment of dues to the Exchange, and the non-induction of ordinary shares into the Central Depository System (CDS). Furthermore, winding-up petitions have been filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) against these companies.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), trading in the shares of these companies will remain suspended until the specified issues are resolved or for another period of 60 days, commencing on October 19, 2026. This decision is made under the authority granted to the Exchange by Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations.

The designated market category for these companies remains under scrutiny as the Exchange awaits compliance with its regulations. The continuation of the suspensions highlights the regulatory measures enforced to maintain market integrity and protect investor interests.
