Trading Suspension Continues for Eight Companies on Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi: Trading in the shares of eight companies will remain suspended on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) for another period of 60 days, effective June 4, 2025. The decision follows the companies' failure to address the reasons for the initial suspension, as per the regulations of the PSX.

The companies affected include Regal Ceramics Limited, Azmat Textile Mills Limited, Kaiser Arts & Krafts Limited, Pakistan Industrial & Commercial Leasing Ltd., Dadabhoy Sack Limited, Nina Industries Limited, Investec Mutual Fund Limited, and Salman Noman Enterprises Ltd. Each of these entities has been cited for various infractions, including failure to hold annual general meetings, non-submission of audited annual accounts, and non-payment of dues to the Exchange.

According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the companies have also not inducted their ordinary shares into the Central Depository System (CDS). Additional infractions include the filing of winding-up petitions by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) against some companies, and the suspension of commercial production for others.

The continuation of the suspension is in accordance with the powers vested in the Exchange under Sub-Section (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations. The designated market category for these companies will remain unchanged during this suspension period.

The PSX had initially notified the suspension on April 4, 2025, through Notices No. PSX/N-344 and PSX/N-345. The decision to prolong the suspension underscores the Exchange's focus on compliance and regulatory adherence, ensuring the integrity of the market.
